NGC Labels

NGC labels may be combined with releases designations and pedigrees to further distinguish particular coins and collections. NOTE: Any quantity or number listed on the label is for numbering purposes only and DOES NOT indicate any actual limitation on the coin mintage or the quantity of the label, grade or designation.

Except for Signature Labels, which are guaranteed to have an authentic autograph from the person indicated on the label, NGC special labels are for enhancement purposes only and are not guaranteed. Whether a specific NGC special label adds value to a graded coin is determined solely by the market.

Elizabeth Jones

The first and only woman appointed to the prestigious position of US Mint Chief Engraver, Elizabeth Jones served from 1981–1990. During that time, Jones supervised the introduction of the American Silver and Gold Eagles, as well as the launch of the modern US Mint Commemorative Coin Program.
