NGC to Grade Coins On-site in Munich in December

Posted on 26/10/2018

The event builds on the success of events held earlier this year.

NGC International GmbH (NGC GmbH), the German affiliate of Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®), will offer on-site NGC coin grading services in Munich, Germany, December 3-8, 2018. Submissions must be received by 17:00 on Friday, November 30.

The event builds on the success of the first three NGC on-site grading events in Munich, which were held in March, June and September.

Coins will be accepted by NGC GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Numismatic Guaranty Corporation International, itself a wholly owned subsidiary of NGC. Founded in 1987, NGC is a leading third-party coin grading service, with more than 42 million coins certified.

NGC authenticates coins, grades them according to an internationally recognized scale of 1 to 70, and encapsulates them in its proprietary holders designed for security and long-term preservation. Coins certified by NGC are backed by the NGC Guarantee, which provides recourse in the rare event that NGC certifies a not genuine coin or overgrades a coin.

On-site grading in Munich provides European collectors and dealers with significantly faster turnaround times. As an added benefit, no additional fees will be charged for the faster turnaround times.

All vintage and modern coins are eligible for this event. This includes CrossOver submissions, coins that require Double Thick Holders (up to 9mm in thickness) and coins that require NGC Oversize Holders (up to 101.5mm in diameter and 25mm in thickness). Note: Ancient coins, VarietyPlus submissions, Mint Errors and coins requiring NCS conservation cannot be accepted for on-site grading, but they can be shipped to NGC's US headquarters for grading.
